Visit from Sue Friday 3rd August

Up early, breakfast over with, out with the vacuum cleaner and all the rest of the cleaning gear. Have to have the place looking good for our visitor.
Sue arrives early, looking bright and chirpy despite the heavy traffic and with potatoes from her allotment. Mum so happy to see her and of course, us as well. She really looks forward to her visits.

We drove into CC to visit the organic markets in the main town square. Mum being given the ride around in the chariot so we didn't tire her out.
Great selection, roast beef for Sunday lunch and seedlings for Sues allotment.
A walk around town and a decision to drop the goods off at home and then make for one of Mums favourite places for lunch ,the Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant. Great location perched on the Cliff overlooking the beaches. The new owners, only one week there endeavour to keep it going the way every one has been use to. Strangely the previous owners had retired to the north of Scotland, I wonder why they wanted to get that far away from the place!
A good lunch was enjoyed by us all which we followed up by leaving Mum having a snooze, sitting in a very comfortable looking armchair in the sun and us out for a walk along the top of the cliff. Activity everywhere, hang gliding, kite flying, children running around and of course the ones lazing about in the sun.
For us it was a bit of a walk and then a stretch out on the bench overlooking the sea and a chat ,so Mum could have some time to rest.
Time up, it was back to the car and off to PYO. (Pick Your Own)
Let loose with our plastic buckets we were into the strawberries carefully selecting just the best.
Then a purchase of runner beans as long as your arm and a bucket full of raspberries.
Home for afternoon tea and Sues departure for the trip back to St.Margarets
A good day, the weather had been sunny and warm and very enjoyable.
